WARREN, Mich.--General Motors said on Tuesday that its gas-electric Chevy Volt will get triple-digit mileage, including an estimated 230 mile per gallon for city driving.
The 230 miles per gallon fuel efficiency--teased in a stealth advertising campaign on billboards and during baseball game--is based on a draft methodology for electric vehicles developed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, GM CEO Fritz Henderson said on Tuesday.
